1. A metaphor is a phrase that takes the meaning of something else. A simile is a comparison between two ojects using the words like or as. The title can be both because love can not really be like a heat wave. Also it uses the word like.
2. "It's filled my heart with fire", in stanzas 1 and 6. "It's like a heatwave burning in my heart", In stanzas 3,5, and 8.
3. Desire and "all over my face."
A metaphor is another way of saying things like love is awesome and it takes you on a ride well love is like a heat wave is a metaphor to that. A smilie is a comprasion between two objects using a specific word or comprasion such as like as or than.
The song is a metaphor because "love is like a heat wave" is saying like love takes you on a journey and when you have love you have to stay together through think and thin.
"Its like a heatwave burning in my heart (paragraph 3), its means this person that you have love is make your heart love him more and more and more!"My heart is filled with fire!" (paragraph 6) it means my it means that your heart is happy. and it makes your heart happy at all times andwhen ever you see that special person then you will always love and you heart is filled with fire.
and i feel it inside when they were supposed to say and my hearts filled with fire i cant explain no i cant explian it when they were supposed to say its like a heatwave burning in my heart.

the difference between a metaphor and a simile is that a simile is a comparison that uses the word like or as. a metaphor is a comparison that uses a comparison without using the word like or as. it is a simile because it uses the word like. "my hearts filled with fire" and "tearing me apart" found in stanza three. some words that it says in the song that doesnt say it in the lyrics is soft, desire, it's, and flame.
Ginny Mastro
A metaphore is a word that is usally used for something else, but used to represent another thing.A similie is comparing objects with the word[s]like,as,or than. The tittle is more like a similie because it is comparing love, and a heatwave with the word like.
Two other metaphors are "tearing me apart"in stanza 3 line 3,and "inside is burning" in stanza 1 line 2. Love is not actually tearing her apart and she is not burning on the inside. [unless she has heart burn! LOL!!]
Like when she says "desire" thats not in there, and "soft" is not in the song.[I think but just in case im wrong Ill state another one!]
Also there is a whole stanza that is not in the lines!! Like when she says "sometimes I stare in space". I MISS YOU!!

Similies use the words like as and than and was but on the contrary metaphors use was
and is. the title is a simile because it is saying its just like somthing comparing and i think that it is a metaphor because of that. ' my hearts filled with fire' stanza 2 and 'and my heads in a maze' in stanza 7. desire and after my hearts filled with fire and "flame" instead os fire on the cd.

A metephor is a something in acsecces to saying what it like it is soposed to.A simile is a sentence that uses a,as,and like.Well in on stanza it says "And my hearts filled with fire.". Well they are desire and flame.
Rayyan.
The difference between a simile and a metaphor is that similies use the words like and as. Metaphors use is and was. They call it metaphor because it is saying it comparing words. Two metaphors in the song are "my heads in a maze" in stanza7 and "my hearts filled with fire"in stanza 6.
Three words are "desire" and "flame".

the difference between a simile and a metaphor is that a simile uses the words like, than and as but a metephor does not. the title of the song is a simile because it uses the word like. some metephors in the song are, my heads in a maze,in stanza 7, the next is my hearts filled wit fire, in stanza 6. the two word that are different in the song that are not on the paper are "disire'" and "flame".
Daniel Brittingham. A metaphor is a sentence in which you can not use the words like or as. But a simile is a sentnce in which you can use like or as. The song (Love is Like a) Heat Wave is a example of a simile. In stanza four the line that says : Sounds so soft sweet and plain" is a example of a meaphor. And another metaphor is the line that says " Right then, right there" in stanza four. Two of the several words on the cd that they dont put on the lyrics are flame and desire.
a metifor is some thing that is comparing two unalike and a simili is like a rhyme.
'My heart fills with fire'. Also 'My heads in a haze'. 6 and 7
stop that is not said , heat wave is said when it's not sospotpy.

The difference inbetween a metaphor and a smilie is that a smilie it uses the same words that use the same meaning. The title of the song is a smilie because it uses the word [like and a] in the title. One metaphor is found in stanzas 6,that my heart fills with fire .The 2nd one is in stanzas 7 and it is my head's in a maze. Two words that are in the song but not on the paper are desire and romance.
My name is Taylor Lewis! The title of this song is a Simile because it has a specific word in the title which is...Like!A simile is a comparision between 2 objects that uses a certain word.A Metaphor is 2 comparision's but gives a clearer meaning. Two metaphors that I found is inthe first stanza it is...Whenever i'm with you Something in my heart starts burning and another one I found is in the fifth stanza and it is...Like a heatwave burning in my heart.THey are Tearing and Amazed.
hey mrs. karns its leah flores!metephor-a comparison between two objects with the internet.simile-a comparison between two objects using a speacific word.the title of the song is a metephor because its a comparison.two other metephors are tearing me is in stanza 3 and blood presures is in stanza 4.heatwave.

A simile like a feguor of spech, or a fraes. Is a compaeison between two objects. The title is a simile because it is a fegor of spech. in Stanzas 1 hart's filled with fire, and stanza 8 heatwave burning in my hrat. filled and sounds
A metaphor is like an exasporation. A simile is like an exasporation/description in one. The title of this song is "(Love is Like a) Heat Wave" it is a metaphor. I think this because love is not a heat wave, this person is expressing her feelings. One metaphor is "Somethings burning inside me." That is found in stanza one. Another one is "Tearing me apart." That is found in stanza three, five, and eight. Two of the words in the song that aren't on the lyrics sheet is "desire" and "Life is like a flame."

1.A metaphor is when you relate to something else not using the words like or as such as " his head was a hard rock". A simile is when you use the same consenants with the same sound. The title is a simile.
2."Tearing me apart" is a metaphor in the last stanza."My head's in a haze" is a metaphor in the 7th stanza.
3.They said "Romance" in the song but not on hte paper.
shoaib arif a simile a comparison of two more objects using a specific word a metaphor a comparision between two objects with intent of giving clear meaning. Its like a heatwawe burning in my heart stanzas 4 my head is in haze 7.
By,AbhishekPurohit A simile is a comparison between two objects using a specificword or comparison.A metaphor is A comparison between two objects with of giving clear meaning to one of them.one of the metaphors are "my heart's filled with fire".I found that in stanza 1.It means She is in love. The other metaphor is "it's like a heat wave is burning my heart".I found it in stanza 5
My name is Kelly Williams.
1.The differece about a simile and a metaphor is that a metephor compares two objects to give you a clearer meaning of one usually using the word "is" or "was". A simile compares two objects that usually are totally different and usually use the word "like" or "as". It is a example of a metaphor because it is trying to clarify the meaning of love.
2."I'm filled up with fire" was in stanza 1. Also "It's like a heat wave" witch was in stanza 2.
3. Disire I heard in the song but, on paper it was fire. Also I heard flame in the song but was different too.
